Tip #1 – Do your homework.
Ask around to family and friends that look good and are happy with their salon. What is the name of their salon and whom do they recommend? Then Google the Salon they suggest and view their web site. Is it professional? Does it give you any information on the qualifications or education on who will be doing your hair? Are they qualified? What does their own hair look like? Prices, are they listed so that you have an idea of what to expect upfront? Can you see real before and after pictures of real salon clients to view samples of the salons real work or are they all Super Models that look like they’ve had a date with Photoshop? Are they easily accessible to you outside of salon hours via email?
Tip #2 – First Impressions, How do they greet you?
Now that you have decided on the salon it’s time to see how they will treat you. This greeting process starts with your first call to them. Is the salon a by appointment only salon? If, so that is a good indication that they are willing to take time for you and be considerate of your time. It also means privacy, no boss or co-worker walking in on you the next day only to be the butt of a water cooler or even Face book joke. Something like, we all knew you were not a “real blonde”. LOL! Next make the call. How is the voice on the other end? Is it personal? Can you talk to someone or leave a message or does the phone just keep ringing? If you leave a message do they get back to you in a timely manner? Once you have secured your appointment you are on your way to the next step and ready for some more great Tips on how to proceed to getting the great service you deserve!
